The author analyzes the social and ethical problems of training and work of a doctor from the standpoint of the Presidential Decree on traditional spiritual and moral values. The following research methods were used in the work: study and analysis of the professional literature, synthesis, modeling, comparison, generalization, observation, system analysis and theoretical knowledge. It was concluded that it is necessary to make adjustments to the current curricula of medical universities and the practice of providing care to patients on the basis of an ethically verified interdisciplinary approach. The article contains a number of social and ethical recommendations which are important for the creation of a national system of medical education and health care.
